Professor Joseph Matta is the Director of Applied Research and Testing at the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) and a university professor who promotes strong collaborations between academia and industry. He holds a Ph.D. and a post-doctorate (2002) from the Academy of Lille and Louis Pasteur University in France. His research focuses on analytical method development, laboratory competency strengthening, food safety, risk management, industrial innovation, environmental pollutants, and public health.
He has authored more than 100 international scientific publications and serves on multiple national and international scientific committees. He has also received several international awards recognizing his contributions to science and innovation.
