DID YOU KNOW?
Pairhouse S.A.R.L. started as a family business and grew into the company behind LebFarms, a Lebanese brand now present in 200+ retail stores across Lebanon.
WHAT’S THE INNOVATION?
Our innovation is honey powder, a new value-added product that transforms natural Lebanese honey into a convenient dry powder while preserving its taste, sweetness, and natural identity. Unlike liquid honey, it is easier to dose, package, transport, and use in beverages, bakeries, cafés, hotels, food manufacturing, and on-the-go sachets. It also reduces handling difficulties linked to stickiness and opens new product formats for both consumers and businesses. This creates a more flexible and practical way to use honey, while increasing the value and market potential of Lebanese beekeeping products..
WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE INNOVATION?
LebFarms started from a beekeeping journey that began with only two beehives and grew into over 300 today. As we scaled, we saw that Lebanese honey had strong value but was still limited to traditional jar formats, inspiring us to develop honey powder as a cleaner, easier, and more versatile way to use honey.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Honey powder is important because it changes how honey can be used in daily life and across the food industry. Instead of being limited to jars and spoons, honey becomes a clean, measurable, and easy-to-integrate ingredient that can enter new applications such as instant drinks, dry mixes, sachets, bakery recipes, and hospitality service. This makes honey more accessible, reduces waste during handling, and gives consumers a natural sweetener in a more convenient format. It also creates a new category for Lebanese honey with stronger potential for scale, branding, and export.
WHO IS BENEFITTING?
Consumers benefit from a cleaner, more convenient way to enjoy honey in daily use, while cafés, bakeries, hotels, retailers, and food manufacturers gain a practical natural sweetener for new applications. Local beekeepers and agricultural producers benefit from increased demand and higher-value use of Lebanese honey. The wider community benefits through job creation, rural income support, reduced product waste, and stronger visibility for Lebanese agrifood innovation.
