Even though Bionord is considered a young company (founded in 2020), we succeeded to enter the market in Lebanon, with fierce competition. We thrive to keep a high-quality product while meeting the demand.
Bionord started when I was 21 years old studying agricultural engineering, with a vision of influencing my surroundings with a healthy lifestyle. I started producing dairy products made from 100% cow milk without adding any preservatives and additives.
What is your innovation? It could be in relation to your product, your process, or your business model or approach.
Bionord is a Lebanese-based company with a solid belonging to our traditions. We mix innovative products combining traditional Lebanese dairy with a twist: halloumi with herbs, halloumi spices, aakawi with cranberry, ayran with herbs.
What is the story behind the innovation?
Bionord’s main value is keeping a high-quality products that are inspired by the traditional Lebanese taste. We unify the simple Lebanese flavors with our own touch, which makes Bionord unique.
What made you think of starting the innovation?
I have always been fascinated by Lebanese nature and its generosity on one hand and by Lebanese food and flavors on another.
The idea did not come by default, I have always had these taste buds. It all started when my grandmother, the person who awakened this passion in me and encouraged me to pursue my dreams, used to put on the table for breakfast, halloumi with a mix of vegetables like mint and oregano.
Why is your innovation important? Why is there a need for such innovation?
Nowadays people are looking for a quick easy, nutritious and tasteful bite. The product we serve satisfies this need, with a touch of modernity.
Who is benefitting from your innovation? What is the impact on the general community?
Bionord offers fresh and tasty products that satisfy a considerable portion of demand. In addition, we gather our primary and raw materials from local farmers, giving them the opportunity to grow in a rural area, that is impacted by a weak economic situation.
