WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE INNOVATION?
Elia El Beainou – the founder of Cave des Ours, is from a village in the Lebanese mountain, Kfardebian, much known for its wealth in apple production and a good part of the villagers rely on the sales of this fruit for a living. But in times of crisis, the villagers, who relied on this product, had to face great difficulties. This is why, before the devaluation of the product, Elia created a new concept that pays honor to the terroir and allows the re-valorization of the Lebanese apple. This is how apple wine and apple arak were born.
