More than 1000 visitors attended the Lebanon Food Show USA 2020, the premier virtual exhibition for Lebanese Food and Beverage in the US, organized by the Embassy of Lebanon in Washington, with the participation of more than 30 SMEs from Lebanon.
Around 20 QOOT Cluster members were virtually exhibiting and showcasing their Lebanese innovations during the event, including: House of Zejd, Café Abi Nasr, AgroCedrus, Go Baladi, Grapeful, The three brothers, Cave des ours, Hum’n Go, Smart Gourmet, The Good Thymes, Eshmoon Holistics, Crown Flour Mills, Mezzmix, Riachy Vineyards, Bioland Lebanon, Elegance Confectionary, and Liban Jus.
The virtual exhibition hosted QOOT Cluster Board President Nadine El Khoury in a panel on forging business ties and Network with Innovative Lebanese producers and US buyers. The discussion revolved around the different opportunities available in introducting food products, required conditions, and the mechanism for overcoming obstacles to achieve this goal, and to facilitate increased communication between Lebanese-American industrialists and their counterparts in Lebanon.
The virtual platform provided the opportunity for the participants to hold side business meetings to consult the possibility of obtaining Lebanese products on export requirements, including FDA approval, and to communicate on building relationships to import products.
